Alex Nicholas is a landscape/nature photographer based in Brisbane, Australia. Passionate about nature and the great outdoors, he has learned to appreciate the natural beauty of the Earth. He is always perservering to improve his skills by observing and understanding our natural surroundings through continued contact. Wild life is something that grabs his attention and encompases his vision. To capture fleeting moments in nature that others sometimes fail to notice is his primary goal. He has an obsession with the finer details of nature. He allows his eyes to lead him to a composition and then juxtapose his subject to golden moments of light.

Having studied the work of other photographers', specifically: Peter Lik, Peter Jarver and Ken Duncan. He is always pursuing his own unique style, vision and approach to composition and subject matter. He captures images using a Nikon Digital SLR, which are then post-processed using a wide variety of tools. Image adjustments are all made digitally by the use of various programs.

His images are never digitally manipulated – He never adds an object that didn't exist in the frame or remove an object that existed in the frame. Rather, he accepts what nature has provided in its scene. He also doesn't add unrealistic colors that didn't exist during the capture – He shoots during times when the light is at its best to truly bring out the natural beauty of the image. Most people don't go out often enough in prestine locations, often perceiving such imagery to be unreal.
